Campus Attributes - Technical Data

The Luther Forest team has done its homework. As part of a ten-year development process, the Luther Forest Technology Campus has been studied extensively. This Campus has proven to have the property characteristics, supporting infrastructure and nearby technology resources that are unmatched by any site in the world. Industry experts, including M+W Group and AGI Abbie Gregg, Inc., also participated in the development of this technology campus to ensure that it met the specific requirements of semiconductor and nanotechnology companies.

Zoning

In order to allow for development of a nanotechnology park in the Towns of Malta and Stillwater, local legislation was required to amend existing zoning laws. This zoning legislation, called a planned development district (PDD), was written to encourage flexible land development in a way that improves the character, design, and quality of new mixed-use developments. The Luther Forest Technology Campus PDD was enacted in 2002 and enables maximization of business development opportunities while conserving and protecting local natural resources.
