About the Campus

The Luther Forest Technology Campus is a 1,414-acre (573 hectares) site specifically designed for semiconductor and nanotechnology manufacturing and other innovative technologies. The site is environmentally friendly and pre-approved with convenientĀ  dedicatedĀ  Interstate highway access only 1.5 miles away. This site offers abundant water, reliable electrical and gas systems, is pre-approved environmentally and has a user-friendly site-plan review process in place. The Luther Forest Technology Campus will also be home to GLOBALFOUNDRIES (a joint venture between AMD Inc. and ATIC of Abu Dhabi). Construction of their state-of-the-art 300 mm fabrication facility (dubbed Fab 8) will begin in Summer 2009 with production anticipated for summer of 2012.
